The first time I used these to strap down the front of my quad to my trailer, the stretch cord popped out of the plastic doodad that holds them (the doodad is meant to be grabbed to pull the cord tight to hold your excess strap). Pulled out my leatherman, pryed the cap off the doodad and a minute later I was back in business. Could be a better "doodad", but I wouldn't take away from the rating or quality of the straps. The ratchets worked very very smoothly as well as their release. If I needed any more, I'd buy more of these.

I bought these to tie down my dog's crate in the back of my Honda Fit. I had another set of straps before, and they kept loosening. These work WONDERFULLY. These are very easy to use, the ratchets help get the straps tight (and keep them tight) and the carabiner style hook adds extra security. I'm very pleased with these tie downs.

I picked these guys up because I got tired of not having something to keep my trunk tied down when I was moving large objects. Having to concoct some sort of "rope like item" was getting old. These things are great. They have the spring latch to prevent the hooks from coming off which can be dangerous going down the freeway. The clasp that you tighten with is rubber coated for easy grip. Made by Master Lock, a name you can trust. Very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend!
